Handy Prep

Is this a DIY project most people can?
We would like to replace our laminate kitchen counter with granite tiles. I have said that if the blade is in good condition, pictures can be put right on top of rolling (with the prep work right). Do any of you counters to rebuild his own kitchen? We are afraid, because we are not terribly handy around the house. Any advice (other than "not do it! ") I'm not sure how we handle the corners – that are rounded, not square.
I tile every day of my life, and have made many they work on the surfaces of tiles, but I agree in part with # 1. I'll probably go with a solid, of anything, including Corian, tile more. If you are committed to tile you probably have to make cuts. If you are committed to the granite, I suspect you will not find Bullnose or its reverse, on one side or splashing. If you must go with tile, you can find a flooring contractor willing to cut the pieces with the size you need, even in his tent. They also suggest smaller grout lines that can do the installation. No disrespect to Roadrunner, or anyone else suggesting that yes, yes certainly adequate preparation can tile, even over Formica. Not me, but that's just a personal choice gained through experience. If you're going to bother mica grinding or milling / score, why not remove it? Steven Wolf
