Grinder Wheat
If you are a parent, you know that getting your finicky child to eat is like trying to push a bolder on a mountain of molasses. It is not easy. A children's menu, at best, consists of about five or six things he or she will eat. So what is a parent to do? Well, during a recent visit made in a small town in the United States, approximately 100 children were given the answer to their five favorite foods not to mention desserts. If this investigation does not command that all children have the same response, this should give you a fairly decent idea of what you kid will eat if you are having problems getting food in his mouth. So without further delay, the goods of our five children.
Coming in at number 5 was not a surprise. Spaghetti and meatballs was the number 5 overall selection. Kids seemed like more out of the box from home, however. And no fancy sauces like marinara. Simply with tomato or meat sauce was all they needed. Furthermore, no grated cheese on top. And not too many meatballs. Only 3 or 4 would be sufficient. Serving your child a plate of spaghetti and meatballs would be more than enough to put a smile on his face.
In the No. 4 slot is another food that is not a surprise. Hamburger on bread was a winner for sure. Again, nothing complicated insofar as condiments. N onions was increased on the list of yuck. Kids hate onions and do not want them anywhere near their hamburger. Just some ketchup is all they require. And the rolls must be hamburger buns. No regular rolls hard and certainly not the seeds. Furthermore, no buns or whole wheat rolls.
The third most popular meal on the menu was the hot dog. It was interesting to see that the hot dog was more popular than the hamburger, but not much. When asked how they liked their hot dogs, which varies slightly. Some children just loved them with mustard. Other favorite mustard and sauerkraut. And then there was this group of children enjoying their hot dogs with ketchup. Nobody seemed to like relish or something complicated on their hot dog and dogs do not like cheese. This is another big yuck.
Just missing the point figure up and coming in at number 2 was fried chicken. Parents, do not bother to do that at home. An overwhelming majority, the children voted on Colonel Sanders Kentucky Fried Chicken and white meat only. And do not forget the biscuit that comes with it. They said that without the biscuit, it is not as good. Makes you wonder if they liked the biscuit over the chicken. Oh and the extra crispy gets a big thumbs up.
Finally, coming in at number 1 was macaroni and cheese. Again, do not do that at home. This must be almost unanimously, Kraft macaroni and cheese. And of course no mac and cheese dish is complete without spilling ketchup everywhere. As they are made with ketchup, you can just see on the Mac and cheese.
And there you have it. The top 5 favorite foods of children. So if you have trouble getting your child to eat, you may want start with them. If you need other favorites outside the top 5, number 6 is the pizza and the number 7 was peanut butter and jam. Complete the top 10 was at 8 Bologna, salami and cheese at 9 and grilled cheese at 10.
